On 2nd February 2024, we, the leaders of Jiayuan Charity, had the honour of performing at the Chinese New Year Celebration hosted by the Chinese Consulate-General in Melbourne. It was an exciting opportunity for us to share our talents and celebrate the blend of cultures that shape who we are.
During the event, we proudly performed both the Australian National Anthem and the Chinese National Anthem, which was a reflection of our appreciation for the diverse and multicultural environment we’ve grown up in. The audience’s warm reception made the experience even more special and memorable for all of us.
As young Australians of Chinese heritage, we are grateful to be part of a community that embraces cultural diversity. Events like this allow us to contribute to the broader cultural landscape and share a bit of who we are with the wider community.
We’re extremely proud of what we achieved and are thankful for the support from everyone who made this event possible. Our performance highlighted not only our musical abilities but also the importance of celebrating the diversity that strengthens our society.
At Jiayuan Charity, we will continue to inspire others to celebrate their cultural backgrounds and make positive contributions to the vibrant and inclusive society we all live in.
