Jiayuan Charity: A Youth-Led Philanthropic Miracle

Established in 2023, Jiayuan Charity is Victoria’s first youth-led charitable organization. It comprises over 200 piano students aged 5 to 16. Despite attending different schools, they share a common identity as students of Jiayuan Studio and a unified goal of spreading warmth to society through music.

In fact, Jiayuan Charity’s benevolent actions trace back to 2012. Over the years, the children of Jiayuan have consistently organized charity concerts independently, using music to raise funds to help those in need. This perseverance has deeply integrated into Jiayuan’s tradition, becoming a significant part of its spirit.

Former Leaders: Staying True to the Original Mission and Passing on the Jiayuan Spirit

As former leaders of Jiayuan, they have shone in various fields but remain representatives of Jiayuan. During the award ceremony at the charity gala, these former leaders returned to the familiar stage to share their Jiayuan memories with current leaders and children. Receiving honorary certificates, their speeches were filled with emotion and inspiration:

“Standing here again, I feel very excited. Jiayuan is not just where I learned piano; it’s where I learned about love and dedication. Seeing the current young leaders shine on stage, I see my past self.” — Andy

“Jiayuan taught me how to take on responsibility.”
“Jiayuan not only taught me music but also how to use my abilities to help others. I always believe that a sense of responsibility and compassion are our most important assets.” — Lina

“The spirit of charity has benefited me throughout my life.”
“Whether it was organizing my first concert or seeing the funds truly help those in need, these experiences made me realize that the world is better because of good deeds. Today’s award is an encouragement; I will continue to contribute to society.” — Thomas

“Jiayuan’s mission is always in my heart.”
“Although my current field is entirely different, Jiayuan’s influence has always been with me. Seeing the children change the world through music today, I feel immensely gratified. Jiayuan is a starting point but by no means the end.” — Eric
